This month is Rick Hollingworth:
I have spent most of my life in Raleigh, NC and have a true understanding of delicious Family Style home cooked meals. Having grown up in Raleigh and watching my parents cook all the time I quickly became drawn to putting together meals.  I would watch my father cook on the grill and quickly became drawn to compete against him in cooking dinners.  My cooking technique over time has expanded outside of southern cooking, but I still maintain the family  style meal traditions.  My food philosophy is to use quality fresh local ingredients, handled with respect and properly cooked . I have a loving and supporting wife who is willing to let me go out and do this venture.  I also have a young future chef in my 4 year old son, who helps me test meals now in the kitchen.  
 
I really enjoy cooking shows and I love experimenting in the kitchen. My personal experience stems from cooking for family, friends and catering work-related functions. I am well-known in the neighborhood for cooking at tailgating events and cookouts. 
 
I am extremely passionate about food. I enjoy the whole process; from shopping for ingredients, to cooking, then filling the kitchen up with pleasing aromas of unique mixed spices and unconventional seasoning combinations. When cooking, I choose fresh and local produce, meat, poultry and seafood; I season to perfection to give you succulent and savory meals.  
 
Our lives are busy and coming home to plan a dinner can be, at times, overwhelming.  I want to be able to take that stress away, for one evening, and bring you my experience and knowledge of cooking, to your family.
