East Wake Academy will have our very first K-12 school/community event in school history called EagleFest on Saturday, May 4th from 10am - 4pm. This event will be not only for our school community, we are inviting Eastern Wake area residents to come out as well. We have received wonderful support from all the businesses on Industrial drive (K.A.M. Tool and Die, Nomaco and Wake Tech) as well as Devil Dog Manufacturing and Comfort Master across HWY 97 to utilize their parking lots if we do not have enough parking on campus. During EagleFest we are offering free informational sessions through the day on Bullying (showings of "Bully", both the PG-13 and the PG versions) and wonderful presentations on Internet Safety and Cyberbullying. We will also have vendors, silent auctions and raffles, inflatables, great food and are setting up many games an activities like Cornhole, football throws, plinko, spa booth, face painting, ping pong ball game, I-spy game and many more. There will also be a prize booth for anone who win prize tickets at game booths! It should be a very fun day for anyone who comes out!
The website for the event is www.facebook.com/ewaeaglefest. In the About section there is a lot of detailed information regarding the event.
