Wake County was ranked as the healthiest county in North Carolina in March 2016 and is consistently ranked as one of the best places in which to live, work, play, and learn. This success is largely due to the collaborative efforts of various partners, including those involved in the development of this Community Health Needs Assessment, and the residents of Wake County.
Many interrelated factors, such as behavioral and physical health, environmental health, access to services, and social and economic determinants impact the health of the community. In addition, Health and needs may differ within various sub-populations and sub-geographies within the county. At the same time, consistent themes are also present across the county as a whole. As our county continues to evolve and grow, we must ensure that we as a community are taking the steps necessary to address the needs of all of our citizens and neighbors.
Lechelle Wardell attended the last CAC meeting and gave an update on the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) process.
