Your Support for the School Bond Referendum on the Ballot

November 05, 2018
With Election Day now upon us, we wanted to remind you about the importance of the Wake County School Bond on the ballot in Wake County.

There is a $548 million bond which would go toward building and renovating public schools. Bond financing is the most cost-effective and fairest way to pay for new schools and renovations because new businesses and new residents share the cost of repaying the bonds over the next 20 years. To learn more about the Wake County School Bond, please visit YesForWakeSchools.com.

There is also a $349 million bond to fund construction projects at Wake Technical Community College campuses, and a $120 million bond which would purchase land for Wake County parks and help extend greenways. The Chamber endorses the bonds and we encourage you to vote yes for them on your ballot.

To help you make informed decisions about who will best represent our county and state, please use our voters’ guide.

The polls are open from 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. We encourage everyone to get out and vote!
