$120 Million Bond Will Fund Open Space, Greenways and Parks
Wake County voters will have the opportunity to decide on a $120 million, six-year bond for open space preservation, greenways, new park and nature preserve construction, and existing park renovations when they head to the polls on Nov. 6.
Here’s how the bond is broken down:
* If approved, $46.2 million will go toward open space preservation and greenway development,
* $34.7 million will fund the construction of new parks and nature preserves,
* And $39.1 million will be spent on renovations and enhancements at existing parks and preserves.
