Debra Morgan from WRAL speaks to the Women in Networking Group - You see her pretty face all the time. For 22 years, Debra Morgan has delivered the news to you each night on WRAL-TV. She's currently a main anchor of the 5, 6, and 11pm newscasts. Debra is an eight-time Emmy Award winner, was the 2006 Five Star Award winner (WRAL's employee of the year) and won the North Carolina Woman's Club Women of Achievement Award in journalism. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication and Psychology, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami. Her community involvement includes being a board member of Alzheimers North Carolina and the Caring Community Foundation. She's also active with JDRF, the ALS Association, Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina, American Heart Association and Methodist Home for Children. Some of her most memorable assignments include interviewing President Obama at the White House, being in the eye of Hurricane Bertha, going to Canada and back covering the Carolina Hurricanes winning the Stanley Cup and following Scotty McCreery from top 50 to the eventual winner of American Idol in LA. Debra is married to her high school sweetheart, Scott. They have two dogs.
